After many requests we have designed and built a line pack for the wildland fire fighter that addresses many previous problems with older designs, mainly comfort, load carrying capacity and repair-ability. Our Wildland Firefighter packs are designed to carry the large size USFS fire shelter in a quick-drop compartment.
The pack suspension system with its ABS reinforced hip belt keeps the shelter comfortably away from your hip area. The hip belt in conjuction with the ABS reinforced back and shoulder panel allows this pack to comfortably carry heavy loads all day on the fire line. Three liter hydration pouch, fusee tubes, external usfs water bottle pockets, full size lid pockets, and full length zippered side pockets provide 2400 cu in of carrying capacity.
The ¾ inch thick orthopedic foam and high endurance dri lex aro-spacer mesh make this a very comfortable pack for long days on the fire line.
This pack is also available in camo fabric, without the fire shelter for the hunter who wants a tough comfortable day pack for long days in the field.
